
For any job, it is vital to tailor your application to the position you are looking for, but how do you make yourself stand out when applying for a role in journalism?
Jem Collins compiled a range of different journalist CVs that helped reporters get a job in this article for Journo Resources.
Often, journalists try to replicate the style of the publication in their application to show they have understood the design. However, Collins warned that this approach is a gamble and you should consider the outlet first.
"Design can very much go one of two ways - it can either really make a CV stand out from the pile, or it can look pretty damn bad and thrown together," she wrote.
