We are increasingly plugged in, leaving more digital footprints and generating more data as we go about our daily lives.
And more stories are now also grounded in data, but finding the right source can be difficult – especially for those reporters who are first-time data journalists or don't have established workflows yet.
Paul Bradshaw, who runs the MA in online journalism at Birmingham City University, shared a couple of flowcharts for data gathering on his blog.
He first posted a chart aimed at science journalists produced by James Gaines, and then shared his own version including more tools and resources for data storytelling.
