The current coronavirus pandemic has led to a massive increase in video conferencing as reporters work from home.
It is an adjustment period for journalists who are used to their newsroom and local patch. Turning to platforms like Skype and Zoom for interviews and meetings could prove tricky.
Dougal Shaw, video innovation journalist for BBC News, spoke to managing director for 360 Workplace Guenaelle Watson for their advice for a successful video meeting in a video posted on Twitter.
"Think about your backdrop, what's behind you," Watson advised.
"Neutral is always better and some platforms can enable you to blur that background."
