If you are not sure who your sources could be or how to reach them, tweeting a #JournoRequest is the best way to get the word out. In an IJNet article, freelancer Zoë Hannah outlines tips and tricks on how best to use the hashtag.
To make your search successful, let the sources come to you and make sure to weed through the bots. It is important to seek out sources with diverse points of view and make your request as specific as possible. You can also tag accounts that might be able to help, or explicitly ask for retweets if you are looking for sources outside of your general algorithm.
