We all have to start somewhere and many reporters have not given mobile journalism a go yet. Mojo trainer Corrine Podger advises on how to get to grips with smartphone reporting in this Twitter thread.
She recommended finding alternatives to popular messaging platform WhatsApp for sending files back to the newsroom, as it will diminish the quality of media. Telegram and WeTransfer are two viable options which solve this problem.
"If your reporters will only be using their phones to film / take photos, and head office will do all the editing, have your reporters use a file-transfer app that sends full-size files," she wrote.
