Instagram Stories have been around for a while now, but many newsrooms are still not using them to their full potential.
Journalist and audience consultant Adriana Lacy has five tips on making the most of the format - and this goes beyond simply using vertical photos rather than square.
In an article for the Reynolds Journalism Institute, she breaks down how to use Stories to gather community insights, link to your content and newsletters, and offer a glimpse behind the scenes of your reporting process.
Those who are not sure if the format is worth the time should note this statistic: "According to Instagram, there are over 500 million daily active Instagram Story users, with over 70 per cent of all users watching stories daily."
