Follow these 45 reporters who have found the social media platform an effective place to grow a young following
Many news publishers struggle to see the value in TikTok lip sync videos. But there are many journalists on the platform showing that it can be a place to engage with young users in a language and format they understand.
The best way to know how to fit in is with good old fashioned inspiration. BBC journalism apprentice Neve Gordon-Farleigh rounded up 45 journalists you should be following on TikTok and some of their best tips too, writing for Journo Resources.
Some journalists use the platform to post practical tips on their jobs, others posts challenges and behind-the-scenes videos. A key tip is to be patient and play around with the features until something clicks, according to ITV journalist Mojo Abidi.
"Don’t let the numbers discourage you,” says Abidi in the article. "Experiment until you sort of find a niche that works for you and works for your followers."
