
Many news organisations are placing value on visual social media platforms like Instagram to drive audience engagement with their brand.
If you want to propel your following, take some advice from Frances Fu, interactive journalism student at City, University of London who provides five ways to boost your Instagram presence in an article for Interhacktives.
When covering trending topics, double check that you are using all the right hashtags strategically.
"Following up and utilising trending hashtags is always the fastest way to get noticed. Use them wisely both in individual posts and stories, even IGTV is helpful to get abundant engagement you want. But don’t overdo it," it reads.
