Facebook Journalism Project and International Center for Journalists offers an expert's guide to creating compelling video content for social media
Wondering how to take your social media storytelling up a notch? Look no further, the digital video playbook for newsrooms by Facebook Journalism Project and International Center for Journalists offers a step-by-step guide to creating compelling digital content.
The playbook gauges first-hand advice from leading experts. Mobile and video journalism trainer Bill Shepherd said it is crucial to pick the best characters for video interviews. It is not enough to simply go by how articulate they sound over the phone, though.
"I’ve done stories where the character could talk easily on the phone but felt less relaxed speaking in front of the camera, so it’s essential you listen carefully, and allow the interviewee enough time to express their story in their own way," he said.
