Newsroom.Tools is a free resource where reporters and developers can highlight useful tools for digital storytelling and give feedback on them
Journalists are always on the lookout for new tools that can help them develop a new digital skill, or help make their current approach to storytelling more time-efficient.
But getting to grips with a new app or platform can be overwhelming, especially if it requires more technical knowledge, so finding a tool that has been reviewed or recommended by other journalists can help.
Newsroom.Tools, an idea initially conceived at a hackathon hosted by the Global Editors Network and BBC News Labs, launched at the Mozilla Festival in London last week.
The website is an open-source collection of tried-and-tested tools for digital journalists, where reporters can explore the tools available according to what the aim of their projects are, and leave feedback for others who might be interested in using them in the future.
