Substack writer Brian Morrissey offers ten first-hand lessons on making your own media brand a success
This past year has been, in many ways, the perfect opportunity to get your personal projects going. Before you put your newsletter or podcast idea into motion, consider some first-hand advice on everything you need to bear in mind.
Brian Morrissey writes in his own Substack newsletter, The Rebooting, about how to successfully build a new media brand.
Growing your audience is hardest part of the process, he says, but you cannot afford to lose readers either. You must deliver on their expectations if you want them to stick around.
"If you say you're going to publish weekly, you better do it every week. And ideally send it at the same time. Randomness isn't the way to establish a habit," he explains.
