Working with social media is now part of most journalists' every day jobs, but how can you know that what you see online is exactly what it claims to be?
Josh Stearns of the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation compiled a list of resources to help journalists fact-check and verify content from social media, republished by Journalists' Resource.
Among the recommendations are research materials and case studies including The Verification Handbook, as well as fact-checking websites like Checkdesk and Emergent.Info.
