When someone asked the independent creator Isabelle Roughol for reading suggestions in the indie news entrepreneurial space, she came up with about a dozen excellent recommendations in seconds. All male.

"I know there are plenty of amazing women working in the field, but I'm looking for people *writing regularly about and for* the independent publishing sector. Who am I missing and should follow?," she asked her followers on LinkedIn.
