This week's Reuters Institute Digital News Report reveals - amongst other things - that trust remains an issue facing the news industry and young people have rapidly changing habits on social media.
One chapter looks closely at how news audiences participate - or do not participate - in the news. Postdoctoral research fellow at the Reuters Institute, Dr Kirsten Eddy, speaks to us about the three groups of audiences who all interact with the news in different ways.
