Generative AI has been the dominant conversation since it burst onto the scene in late 2022 marked by the arrival of ChatGPT.
For newsrooms, generative AI has brought a slew of headaches, though. How do they use this new fancy tech and what for? Is it providing users with accurate information when their algorithms are such carefully guarded secrets? And crucially, are these big tech platforms stealing news content to train their models and are news organisations owed money?
