Over the next year, three journalists at TIME will document the first months of four babies born inside refugee camps in Thessaloniki, Greece.
The publisher hopes the multimedia project, called Finding Home, will encourage audiences to engage with the issues surrounding the ongoing refugee crisis.
In this week's episode, we speak to the team behind the project:
-
Aryn Baker, TIME's Africa bureau chief
-
Francesca Trianni, videographer, TIME
-
Lynsey Addario, freelance photojournalist
They will be meeting with Taimaa, Suad, Nour and Illham frequently over the next year, hoping to give audiences an insight into the reality of day-to-day life for Syrian mothers as they get by with no hot water, flushing toilets, or space to play with their children.
