UK news group Reach plc. has been doubling down on podcasting in recent years, now having dozens of shows for its local and national titles.
A big focus for 2025, however, will be expanding the hit show the Northern Agenda, digging into stories about child poverty, education and social care in communities across the north of England.
Growing a podcast continues to be a struggle though, so Reach plc.'s podcast editor Daniel McLaughlin joins us in this week's episode to talk about whether going after a more specific audience gives you an edge or whether it limits your pool of listeners.
