TheMediaBriefing, which was launched in 2010, has unveiled a new awards programme aimed at innovative media businesses
Media news site TheMediaBriefing has launched a new awards programme, the British Media Awards, aimed at recognising media companies which have shown "the most agile approach to innovating new business models".
The awards, which will be presented at a ceremony on 26 April, cover 15 categories in total, including overall media innovation of the year, paid content innovation, best use of mobile and media company of the year.
According to a blog post by TheMediaBriefing submissions must be collected by 1 March with the awards aiming to "highlight how some of our brightest media business managers are solving the really big questions affecting the industry both online and offline".
The awards judging panel includes Informa Business Information CEO Lindsey Roberts, Mirror Group publisher Matt Kelly and Telegraph Media Group's digital editor Ed Roussel.
TheMediaBriefing was launched by Briefing Media Ltd in 2010 by Neil Thackray and Rory Brown, as a media business news and information site which would feature both its own content as well as aggregated reports from third-parties.
