Circle these dates in your diary to boost personal productivity, plan your editorial coverage or just for some office fun
It is funny how a day in the diary can give you the motivation you need to try something different.
Below is a mixture of official and unofficial days for journalists and editors to make note of. For one, they can inform your news coverage. Earth Day, in April, for example, is a day where many newsrooms up their commitment to climate journalism projects. But others in here are a good excuse to give yourself the well-needed break you need, or just improve morale in your newsroom.
Take a look and let us know any that we missed. It is far from exhaustive, and many other websites provide other inspiration for you and your team. N.B. some "national" days originate from the US, but as with the whole list, it is designed to be relevant to an international market.
