The web site is a password-protected, members only area, offering news links, writing tips, style guidelines, forums and a members contact list. Alumni journalists can send in stories to be vetted by ex-Reuters editors who conduct the courses.
The site has been set up to keep trainees in touch with Reuters after completing their courses, as project manager, Jo Weir points out: "We often worried that journalists came from halfway around the globe to attend a two-week course but went away without proper follow-up. This web site goes a long way towards filling the gap."
