Personnel Today was named a winner at last night's PPA Awards for the magazine industry just hours after plans for redundancies at the title were announced.

Edward Dimbylow, publisher of Personnel Today, which will go online-only after its 29 June issue, was named publisher of the year in the business media category.

TES Connect and NME.com were named best websites in the business and consumer categories, while Emap's Health Service Journal and BBC Worldwide's BBC Good Food took the media brand of the year prizes for business and consumer respectively.

The Monthly Business Magazine Of The Year
Award went to William Reed title Restaurant.

Future's Cycling Plus was named Specialist Consumer Magazine of the Year, while Reed Business Information's (RBI) Farmers Weekly took the same award in the weekly business magazine category.
