Johnston Press: partnership with Zoopla
Johnston Press has launched a revamped online property platform in partnership with digital property firm Zoopla.
The group's websites now use Zoopla's technology and search engine to serve property ads and aims to make the procedure simpler for advertiser and property-hunters.
The publisher is heavily promoting the new property websites, which launched yesterday, online and in print.
Johnston Press chief executive Ashley Highfield said in a release: "Zoopla is one of the most innovative players in the online property space and this partnership sees it power an exciting new property platform for our local websites, adding further value to both our online audience and property advertisers."
Johnston Press digital classifieds managing director Joe Slavin added: "A key reason for partnering with Zoopla is the great technological features they bring to our new online property offering.
"With the new platform, we will have access to all Zoopla data but the look and feel is entirely ours."
Zoopla founder Alex Chesterman said: "We are excited to be launching this strategic relationship with Johnston Press, one of the UK’s leading regional media groups.
"The addition of our property functionality across their significant network of local websites is a natural fit which will provide clear benefits to the Johnston audience and to our advertisers."
