Kable publishes online and print titles, covering public sector ICT, including GC (Government Computing) and Smart Healthcare magazines.
It also compiles reports and research for global ITC business targeting the UK and European public sectors and runs events and conferences looking at the sector.
Kable, which was founded in 1990, will join Guardian Professional - a division of GNM established last year dedicated to growing B2B revenue.
"Kable is the leader in an attractive market with good prospects for growth. It is a profitable, well-managed company, and will be a strong fit alongside GNM's existing public sector activities," said Tim Brooks, managing director of Guardian News & Media.
"We are delighted to become part of GNM. The Guardian's position and reach in the public sector, along with its commitment to quality and high customer service values, match exactly the culture and market position that Kable has developed over the past 17 years," said Paul Smith, managing director of Kable.
