Convergence - the integrated delivery of media and entertainment - is finally being addressed by broadcasters, said BBC chief technology officer John Varney.
"Convergence means consumers have suddenly demanded content that suits their home technology, and that will be consumed at a time that suits their lifestyle."
The supplement includes access to a white paper produced by business services firm Deloitte on current and future issues of convergence for media companies. It also includes a review of new technologies such as Microsoft's Media Centre, which combines TV with the PC, and mobile gaming consoles such as the Nokia N-Gage.
