CNET UK has expanded its consumer editorial team by making two senior appointments and hiring a competition winner as a reviewer.

Deputy editor of T3 magazine, Jason Jenkins, has been appointed as reviews editor and Ian Morris, who previously worked on the online versions of Top Gear, Crimewatch and Children in Need for the BBC, has been appointed TV editor.

The reviews team has also been boosted with the appointment of Nate Lanxon as MP3 and digital music reviewer.

Mr Lanxon was hired after he entered a competition on CNET.co.uk to win tickets to the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.  His winning entry, a video of him reviewing a mobile phone, impressed the judges so much that he was offered the position.

Jill Orr, head of consumer media at CNET Networks UK, said in a press release: "The recent CNET.co.uk ABCe results show we're reaping the benefits of our investment in editorial.

"Now with Jason, Ian and Nate on board, we can further boost our output and give our readers more of the trusted, interactive content they love. All three are talented journalists and will bring complementary skills to the team."
