The BBC is urgently looking for London-based volunteers to help with a project marking the end of World War Two.

Volunteers need to be web proficient with good typing skills and must be able to attend the first training session tomorrow, Wednesday 23 March.

Full training will be provided and it is left to volunteers to decide how much time they can dedicate to the project, which involves listening to stories from World War Two. The first story-gathering event will be held in the Regent's Park area of London on 31 March.

The volunteer scheme is being run in collaboration with volunteering group CSV. The finished project will be published on the BBC's WW2 People's War site at bbc.co.uk/ww2.

October 2005 - story update: Please note this scheme has now ended and no longer needs volunteers.
