The BBC has reopened its Talent Pool scheme for working journalists seeking permanent posts, contracts and shifts with the broadcaster.

The scheme is looking to take on trained and experienced journalists with production and reporting skills from a television, radio, online, print or news agency background. The pool scheme will give these journalists access to vacancies normally only open to those already working at the BBC.

Applicants who make an initial shortlist will be assessed and interviewed. Successful individuals will become part of the Talent Pool for six months from 6 September and be put forward for positions across the BBC's regional newsrooms, sport and global news departments.

The Talent Pool was launched in 2008 as part of a recruitment drive to increase diversity in the BBC's newsrooms across the UK.

The current deadline for applications is 24 May. More details of how to apply are available at this link.
