Two new digital advertising categories have been added to the Association of Online Publishers' annual awards, which opens to entries today.

The ninth annual awards recognises digital publishing across 18 categories including video, mobile, business, and consumer websites. The new categories are 'Agency Campaign for Media Brand' and 'Best Ad Technology Platform'.

Last year's winners included Bauer Media's FHM.com for 'Best Consumer Website'; Econsultancy, for 'Best Specialist Digital Publisher'; and the Telegraph Media Group for 'Best Consumer Digital Publisher'.

"We have an enthusiastic and highly competitive industry, that we're sure will rise to the challenge of submitting entries that prove the digital sector has the focus and muscle to hold its own," said Lee Baker, director of the AOP.

Entry to the awards, which costs £125.00 plus VAT per submission, will close in March 2010. More information about entering can be found at this link.
