MailOnline is still the most-visited newspaper website in the UK
Record-breaking Daily Mail website Mail Online failed to avoid a dip in traffic for national newspaper sites in June, according to the latest figures from the Audit Bureau of Circulation.
Today's report shows every audited website suffering a drop in monthly unique browser figures compared to May. The Telegraph's website experienced the biggest drop of 16.76 per cent, taking it to 36,457,713.
MailOnline, which still leads the way in the ABC report for the volume of monthly users, saw a decrease of 13.13 per cent, taking its monthly user count to 67,110,048.
In February, the MailOnline saw its first month-on-month fall in traffic for more than a year.
However, year-on-year the MailOnline enjoyed a 55.64 per cent increase in June on its monthly traffic.
In its interim management statement this week, Daily Mail publisher DMGT reported revenue growth of almost 60 per cent for the Mail Online in the third quarter of the financial year.
Today's ABC report also showed monthly browser decreases for the Independent website of 11.25 per cent, and Mirror Group Digital of 6.71 per cent.
The Guardian did not report its online figures this month, following a decision to only do so every other month. Its daily average browser figure dropped by 7.58 per cent to 2,613,405 month-on-month.
Results for the Times and the Sun websites remain unreported following the introduction of last year's paywall.
The full figures for audited websites are listed below. The percentage in brackets indicates the month-on-month change compared with May's ABC multi platform report.
