At today's conference, experts from BBC, Al Jazeera, NowThis Media and more will discuss the latest video formats and the challenges and opportunities they bring into the newsroom
Journalism.co.uk is hosting the 16th news:rewired digital journalism conference today, at Reuters in Canary Wharf, London.
The second in our series of 'in focus' conferences, the event will highlight the latest trends in editorial video, such as the rise of 360-degree video and its value, strategies and formats for social video and making interactive documentaries for online.
Attendees will be able to take away practical recommendations from experts during the sessions, from news organisations like The Wall Street Journal, CNN, the Guardian, Reuters, NowThis Media and more.
Here's how you can follow the conversation online today:
on Twitter @journalismnews and @newsrewired, and following the hashtag #newsrw
on the news:rewired website, where our team of bloggers and live-bloggers will be covering the sessions as they happen, sharing key tips, tools and techniques from our expert line-up of speakers
The conference kicks off at 9.40am with 'Press play: What works in online video?', a panel discussion with guests speakers from CNN Digital International, Reuters TV and Al Jazeera English.
The session will explore production techniques and strategies behind interactive web documentaries, making on-demand video for multiple platforms, and striking the balance between TV and digital.
Check out the full agenda for the day and don't forget, a limited number of early-bird tickets for our next news:rewired event on July 20 is now available.
