APM Health Europe is seeking a full-time healthcare news reporter for a 9-month, fixed-term contract, from 1 June 2025 to 28 February 2026.

The successful candidate will monitor key developments in the pharmaceutical and biotech sector, with a particular focus on regulatory and reimbursement issues, litigation and general industry trends. The role will primarily cover the UK, the EU and the US markets.

Location: London or Greater London (primarily remote work)

Key responsibilities:

  • Produce high-quality news articles tailored to a specific readership
  • Report from specialised events, including conferences
  • Interview key industry players
  • Enhance stories with third-party commentary and additional context
  • Develop and maintain a network of reliable contacts within the sector

Desired skills and qualifications:

  • Degree-level educated in a relevant subject and have proven experience of reporting healthcare news, a good knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and medical/scientific research
  • A minimum of three years of professional experience covering pharmaceutical or healthcare-related topics; candidates with more extensive experience are encouraged to apply
  • Proven experience in news reporting, interviewing, and event coverage
  • Strong written English skills
  • Familiarity with data visualisation tools is a bonus
  • Excellent IT skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a small, dynamic team
  • Willingness to travel to conferences and events across the EU

Team structure and work environment:
