Newsquest seeks a talented print audience and content editor to work across some of the biggest newspapers along the south coast.
From the punchy Echo series in Southampton, Bournemouth and Weymouth - to the historic Falmouth Packet in Cornwall and prestige weekly titles in between, this is a job for someone with an eye for detail who can work at speed – and has a designer’s flair.
The successful candidate will work as part of a team to produce our portfolio of newspapers in the South West region, ensuring they are of the best quality and reflect the high standards our readers expect.
This includes writing punchy eye-catching headlines that fully fit the white space throughout.
A key part of this role includes responsibility for front pages so we are keen to hear from candidates with strong design skills.
Key tasks include:
The role is suitable for remote working on company-supplied equipment but the successful candidate is welcome to work in any of our newsrooms along the south coast.
The closing date is Friday, 21 February, but applications will be considered as they come in. It is anticipated this role will commence in March.
