Description of role
Storythings is looking for a managing editor to work on an exciting new project for a major programme within a UK foundation that is working towards a more just and equitable society.
Your role is to develop a creative vision and voice for a new digital editorial project that will publish various media formats and will foster engagement with an expanding community base. You will manage a team to deliver on this vision and iterate over time to produce the highest quality content to support the project’s overall objectives.
Your work will also include contributing to other Storythings projects, such as writing and editing work for other clients or our own projects and pitches.
You will have experience in working with or writing for foundations or non-profits, or at least a demonstrable understanding of how they work; and experience of writing and editing narrative and long-form editorial and shorter audio-visual formats – particularly writing about people and ideas, co-ordinating media content, and producing content for social and other platforms.
