Do you want to work for a distributed editorial team, global in scope, stable and growing, focused on B2B reporting and analysis?
The AIM Group, the world’s leading business intelligence service for marketplaces, is expanding into a related field. We are looking for a team of three (for starters): one managing editor and two writer-analysts, focusing on the exploding field of “recommerce” — the sale of used goods by companies large and small, as well as by individuals. Our new recommerce report will launch later this year.
Your location does not matter. Your ability to get the job done does. So make sure you send a personally written cover letter (as outlined below). If you send us an AI-generated application, you will be ignored. Sorry, but we need people who write (and edit) their own material. These are part-time, freelance positions, probably averaging 10-20 hours a week.
Managing editor: Someone to start a new product / project from scratch, with an adequate (but not overly rich) budget, and launch it — then evolve it steadily based on client feedback and subscription sales. Experience building a community of users helps. A business journalism background is a must.
Writer-analyst (two): You will report, research and write about the field of recommerce. Sometimes it will be text; sometimes it will be online recorded interviews; sometimes it may be PowerPoint decks; sometimes “five question”-type interviews. Strong experience reaching sources and developing a beat are essential. Business journalism at a newspaper or other media company is also critical.
Send an application — cover letter (written personally) that speaks to the points above; resume / CV, and links to your work — to racheln@aimgroup.com. Subject line: Recommerce editor (or) Recommerce writer-analyst as appropriate. Every applicant who follows those simple rules will get a response. Those who do not, will not.
