Are you passionate about news? Do you thrive on breaking stories and delivering in-depth analysis? The Daily Beast is seeking dynamic and dedicated breaking news reporters to join our team. Multiple roles available for full-time or part-time reporters.
About the role
You will be based outside the US to help deliver news to our US audience around the clock. You are an all-rounder who is on top of US politics, global news, media and pop culture. You have a deep understanding of American culture, preferably having lived in the US, or a track record of working for American publications.
Key responsibilities
- Identify the breaking news that matters and write intelligent, exciting copy with a punchy attitude that separates us from other outlets.
- Collaborate with editors and other reporters to ensure comprehensive coverage.
- Opportunity to work on your own investigations and exclusives.
Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of experience in news reporting.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Shifts for this position will be during the week or weekend. Times will vary.
