She was formerly senior editor at Thomson Reuters in London and as training editor she was involved in the setting up of editorial operations for Thomson Financial News in Bangalore and Mumbai.
Arputharajoo-Middleton was also the bureau chief for AFX News in Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia. She began her career in journalism with a broadsheet English lnaguage newspaper, the New Straits Times in Malaysia.
