She moves from Oyster magazine, where she was editor and advertising manager for three years.
Prior to this she has been editor for Asian Woman, Asian Bride and Asian Fashion.
Her advice to anyone wanting to be a journalist is to research publications and approach them directly, rather than just replying to a job advert, she told Journalism.co.uk.
"Research and observe editors to get a good understanding of what is involved in the role, what skills and traits are required," she added.
