Details: The Journalists' Charity was set up by Charles Dickens in 1864 to help journalists and their dependants going through tough times. The charity provides emergency support, financial assistance and confidential advice to journalists who are experiencing difficulty in both their career and personal lives.
Running grants and one-off payments are given to journalists to support them through a variety of personal circumstances. Support applies to journalists from every sector of the industry, nationwide.
