The Directory of European Journalism Networks launched this month as a free, searchable and growing database of journalism groups focused on collaboration in Europe.
It features the profiles of more than 40 network managers, and you can search them based on six filters, covering specialisms, skills (editorial and operational) and geography. These filters were shaped with feedback from some of the networks so that they are most useful to journalists.
It was built by Free Press Unlimited (FPU), as part of the European Excellence Exchange in Journalism project, funded by the EU.
According to the FPU's website, the directory "promotes universal standards of journalistic practices and stimulates professional trust-based cooperation, including on timely topics of public interest, such as climate change, migration and public health."
You can also read interviews with journalism network directors, coordinators and facilitators about the day-to-day realities of their work. The directory features many prestigious names, such as BIRN director Milka Domanovic or Unbias the News editor-in-chief Tina Lee.
The directory is still open for registrations and it is looking to reach more journalism groups and collectives in the Europan Space.
