The Linc's homepage will feature a video player to enable the university to open up its new 'Journalists Speak out on Journalism' series online, as well as providing an archive for future viewing.
The series, which has been organised by Professor Richard Lance Keeble, starts tonight at 6.15pm with BBC war correspondent Allan Little running a session on "Reporting war in an age of fear".
Future sessions will include other top journalists, such as Angela Rippon and head of Channel 4 News and Current Affairs Dorothy Byrne, who will discuss "What makes good journalism" on 18 October.
"The LSJ asked us to film the events, but we thought we could take it one step further and broadcast them live so as many people as possible can benefit,” Shane Croucher, editor of The Linc said in a release.
"I've seen guest speakers on the bill at other universities and thought 'I'd really like to have seen that'. Hopefully this will inspire other British journalism schools and their student media to do something similar, so we can all enjoy each others' big-name talks."
